Our Place, Our Home (G01)

Great set up…as advertised!

The house is great for large groups, loved how there were 6 bedrooms with kings and own bathrooms, plus two separate bunk rooms. Very fun house with slide and private pool. Very well stocked kitchen regarding appliances and baking dishes. However was a little sparse on paper towels, dish detergent, laundry pods, garbage bags, no conditioner given, and the amount of towels given. Host is very quick to respond and help with problems. Unfortunately on our stay the community pool was not working. We were not told that before hand, so that was an unexpected disappointment as it was one of the main reasons we picked this house. Also the community pool is controlled by the HOA so our host couldn’t do much about it and we were just out of luck. We appreciated that our host covered the heating charge for the private pool and refunded us some money. Overall I would stay here again. It was so well suited for multiple families to stay in one place.

Overall, we found that this was a great house for our cousins’ reunion. The configuration was not clear on the VRBO website, so I wanted to make known that the property has two King Master Suites on the main floor with adjoining bathrooms, the second floor has three King Master Suites with adjoining bathrooms and one King Master suite with an adjacent bathroom. Plus, two queen bunk rooms with 3 bathrooms total. The house is well laid out, with two large living room areas, one up and one down, each with a large TV. All King Master Bedrooms had their own TV. There were two missing remote-control devices, but all remotes worked on all TVs. The kitchen is spacious with two large refrigerators, expansive island counter with seating for 8, with a large dining room table with 15 chairs. Equipment and dishes for the kitchen seemed to be adequate, however there were only six coffee cups and could use more silverware & small glasses. The house also included at least two outside sitting areas and an exceptionally large hot tub. We did have a number of maintenance and cleaning issues which we addressed with management. We found management to be very pleasant and extremely responsive to any calls we made to them. We are hopeful that they will take the time to correct the problems and deal with the cleaning and maintenance issues prior to the next guest’s arrival. And, in the future, inspect the property before the start of any reservation. We would book again if returning to Hurricane.
